It has been a whirlwind of a year since qualifying CMA USA in last and navigating through a pandemic in the hunt for a job as a fresher. After completion of CMA, I was not even able to apply for a job. Can’t imagine how worst was my situation. Then as a gem, I heard about First Career Program (FCP) from my CMA tutor Alex Tom Joseph. But I was in a dilemma and then I thought of the best quote I have heard in my entire life. If someone gives you an amazing opportunity, you better grab it first so that he wants to give you the next one. “So, then I finally decided to go with the Plan To Join with FCP Program.  To my surprise with gods grace everything went well and it was one of the best timely decisions that I had taken in my life because Geevar and Alex always ensured to give us the best training capsules challenged with hands-on experience that we ever had, with the practical application of what we had studied in our professional student career. Now, I am beyond excited to announce that I have accepted a new innings with EY as Analyst. So, a huge thank you to the Invisor Education team for their great support in building me from behind and Special cheers to Geevar Thambi, CMA, CSCA, Alex Tom Joseph, CMA, Muhammed Shafeeque and Muhammed Thwoyyib for giving me such an amazing experience at FCP and for moulding me for what Im today.

He told me about what all are provided in this training program but I was actually double minded whether to join or not join. But then I thought to give it a go, So I joined there half-heartedly. To my surprise everything went well and it was one of the best decision that I had took in my life because Geevar and Alex always ensured to give us with the best training experience that we ever had, with the practical application of what we had studied in our professional courses. I know for a fact that I would not make it without the tender mercies of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family and friends, and by the most generous hearts behind my success Geevar & Ganesh H, who were more than just tutors to me. After completing my CMA course the lockdown was imposed in India due to pandemic. When there was a break in lockdown I started looking for a job, almost 5, 6 months I send mails, applied through career sites, job portals, but there was no response from the other end most of the time. I only had one or two interview in which the salary was too low compared to market standards. Then I heard about First career program (FCP) provided by Invisor Global Inc. First I thought it's just a intern programme where most of the companies hire freshers and let them settle the pending files. I contacted Invisor team and they told me it's not what actually looks like and they gave all the information about the FCP, and I decided to join the program, which was a turning point in my life. During the internship period itself I got an offer from Entigrity Solutions Pvt Ltd which is a leading consulting firm mainly dealing with US and Canadian clients I joined here as an Associate - Customer service. Thanks to the entire Invisor team for the support.

I should say it was one of the best decisions I made to help my career because Geevar Thambi, CMA, CSCA, and Alex Tom Joseph, CMA always ensured to give us the best training experience that we ever had, with the practical application of what we had studied in our professional courses. • Candidates doing their bachelor’s degree in any field are eligible to sit for the US CMA exams.
    • Two years of work experience in the field of accounting or finance is required for admission to the master's program. For graduates and foreign applicants with less than two years of professional experience, candidates can complete the work experience requirement in less than seven years of clearing their US CMA exams.
    • On the side of being a graduate, candidates have to comply with the ethical policies mentioned by IMA.
    • To get your CMA USA certification, candidates must crack both Parts I and Part II in three years.

In order to get your US CMA certification, an accounting background is not a must but can be a lot useful. Students either pursuing their bachelor’s degree or anyone who already completed their bachelor's in any discipline can take the US CMA exams.

However, Candidates with an accounting background will have the advantage of familiarity with the topics and can learn the subjects at a fast pace comparatively.

Nonetheless, if your selected discipline is under graduation, you will be required to have a two-year professional experience in the financial management of management accounting.

Students pursuing their bachelor’s degree can fulfill their experience requirement by taking internships with a finance or accounting management firm while their bachelor's or within seven years of passing the US CMA exams.

As per the latest data released by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in 2022, the pass rate of US CMA is 43% on average. US CMA has two parts, Part I and Part II. Part I has a pass percentage of 36.25% while Part II has a pass rate of about 50.5% averaging both parts' pass percentages to 43%.

If we talk numbers, you can understand that the pass rate of US CMA is not that great, but students must remember that preparing with a proper study plan along with revising the syllabus and taking mock tests can greatly improve your chances of not only clearing the exam in the first attempt but also with scoring well.

The US CMA certification course can be completed within 6 to 18 months to complete Parts I and II, candidates have to complete the US CMA certification program within 3 years from the date of enrollment with IMA.

However, the time taken to complete both Parts I and Part II is completely subjective to the candidate. Some candidates can pull off both parts on their first attempt whereas others take a few more attempts depending on their study plan and schedule.

US CMA has two parts, Part I and Part II, completing both parts in the span of 3 months is possible but not advised. As per our research, most candidates take up an average of 3-4 months to complete each part and on average 6-8 months to complete both.

Speaking practically, only one or two students in a hundred can pass both parts of the US CMA in 3 months. With a top-notch study plan and ultimate dedication, you can take both parts I and Part II in the same test window.

First of all, Candidates will have the option to take both Parts I and Part II one after the other or simultaneously. Based on their schedule and study plan, candidates can select any.

It is also possible to take the US CMA Part I and Part II exams on the same day but in different test slots.

Taking both parts at the same time is entirely based on the ability of the candidate. Most US CMA candidates opt for taking both Parts I and Part II at the same time as it helps in reducing the US CMA course duration.

The first step to ace your US CMA exam is to pick the best and most up-to-date study materials. Good study materials will help in understanding the concept better and more in-depth. Practice questions and mock tests offered by these study materials will also be of top quality following the previous test scenarios.

Here is the list of US CMA study material publishers in the market you can choose from:

    • HOCK CMA
    • Gliem CMA
    • Wiley CMA
    • Surgent CMA
    • Power Research Center CMA
    • Becker CMA
    • Engage CMA

All the above publishers have their study materials at various depths in concept and language levels. Most of the study materials are with easy concepts and the language is also student-friendly. So candidates can select any of the above study materials and prepare with them to clear their US CMA certification.
